Next week is going to be an eventful one, especially for fans of
Chinese manufacturers. Huawei is kicking off in style on Monday,
November 23, with the long-awaited launch of the Huawei Mate8 and the release of the Huawei Watch in China, but Xiaomi
is going to take the stage on Tuesday, November 24 with the much
anticipated launch of the Xiaomi Mi5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro.
Yesterday, the company more or less confirmed the Xiaomi Mi5 release
date when it sent out invites to the event. This
morning, Xiaomi co-founder Lin Bin posted a picture of the Redmi Note 2
Pro on his Weibo account. The photo shows the rounded rear camera with a
dual LED flash underneath. Then comes the rounded fingerprint scanner.
That makes the Redmi Note 2 Pro the first handset from the manufacturer
to come with this feature. According to TENAA's data, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro
will have a 5.5-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 13 MP rear camera, a 5 MP
selfie snapper, MediaTek's MT6795 (Helio X10) chipset at the helm, 2GB
of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 3,060 mAh battery. It will probably run
Android Lollipop underneath the MIUI skin by Xiaomi. Now, it is
possible that Xiaomi plans to announce more than one device at the
company’s November 24th event, we cannot be sure at this point. It is,
however, probable that Xiaomi plans a separate event for the Mi 5
announcement, and considering they intend to implement Qualcomm’s
Snapdragon 820 SoC in there, that announcement will quite probably occur
in December. The Redmi Note 2 Pro is almost certainly going to be
announced on November 24th, so is it possible we might see the Xiaomi MiPad 2 unveiled as well? We’ll find out soon enough. We
will get the official word when Xiaomi unveils this on November 24th.
At the same time, we just might see the company introduce its new Xiaomi Mi5 flagship. Source: http://www.xiaomidevice.com/blog/xiaomi-ceo-announced-xiaomi-mi5-and-xiaomi-redmi-note-2-pro-upcoming/
