It was just today when we shared some news of the Xiaomi Mi 5.
The phone has been leaking out almost everyday now and the launch seems
to be very near. And as you would have already guessed, we have got
another leak about the Mi 5 in our hands. We've
seen a number of Mi 5 rumors and leaks thus far, and the device itself
has leaked several times in the last couple of weeks, including the
phone's alleged patent documents. All of those leaks suggested that the
device will sport a rather thin physical home button, which seemed odd
at first considering Xiaomi prefers capacitive buttons, but considering
the number of leaks we've seen, that option becomes quite probable. A
new set of Xiaomi Mi 5 images surfaced, and this time around you get to
see Mi 5 render in various color options, including White, Black, Grey
and Pink-colored devices. In case you'd like to check out these images.
It seems like the Mi 5 will sport a metallic frame, and rather thin
bezels on the sides. In addition to these leaked renders, an early
"hands-on" video has been posted on Weibo today. You can check it out
by clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_9ZVL7mrbg The
Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to sport a 5.2-inch display, Qualcomm
Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 16MP rear camera, and a fingerprint
scanner embedded on the physical home button. Although nothing has been
confirmed yet, the Mi 5 could launch in Q1 next year and is likely to be
priced around the $400 mark when it goes on sale. When all eyes
are on the Mi 5, two unannounced Xiaomi smartphones have been spotted on
China's TENAA. While the listed smartphones are known by their
codenames Mi 2015811 and Mi 2015812, they may be Xiaomi Redmi 3 or Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Source: http://www.xiaomidevice.com/blog/xiaomi-mi-5-has-a-variety-of-colors-optional/
