Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone has already received the Nougat update, and the company has also confirmed which other phones will get the update. That list includes the Xiaomi Mi MIX and Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and now, it has been revealed that the device will be next in line to receive Nougat. But don't get your hopes to high yet, as the update will be released as beta build first. The internal testing might have already begun, but an Android Nougat beta build won't be available until 2017.
First of all, Mi Mix users will be able to switch between apps with a double tap, as well as run two apps side by side, thanks to the new multi-window view and quick switch between apps features.
Other new features include personalized settings, smarter notifications, rearranged Quick Setting tiles, and the ability to directly reply to notifications without opening any app.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX Pro update will first be available in beta form, meaning only a select few who opt for the beta program will get to experience Nougat first. Source: Xiaomi Mobile
