OUKITEL was one of the first Android smartphone manufacturers to
embrace a notch, and arguably, the first to bring to market a direct
iPhone X clone in the form of the OUKITEL U18. Now the company has
announced it has another notch-equipped smartphone en route, the OUKITEL U19.
In spite of not having been officially launched yet, the OUKITEL U19
was on show at this year’s MWC event along with the company’s latest
rugged smartphone solution, the OUKITEL WP5000.
Just like the iPhone X and OUKITEL U18,
the Oukitel U19 is slated to have a 5.85″ notched display, with the top
“prongs” displaying time, battery and connectivity information. The U19
rocks the popular 18:9 aspect ratio for its 720p display, making it
easy to use with one hand. Also like the iPhone X, it’s got a
fingerprint scanner on the glassy black panel. OUKITEL U19 is
expected to arrive boasting 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and powered by a
MediaTek MT6739 quad-core processor. Battery life comes courtesy of the
included 3,600 mAh capacity battery, it will come running on Android 8.1
(Oreo) at launch. OUKITEL U19 will come to market by the end of
May, for about $100. For more information about the upcoming U19, stay
tuned to official Oukitel Store. Source: OUKITEL Mobile
