It's hard to imagine eating certain foods can be responsible for prostatitis causes. But in a roundabout sort of way, this is exactly the case.
Here is what I mean:
Most doctors and researchers will admit they are not really sure what all the prostatitis causes are.
All we can really do is guess in many cases.
It could be infections that spread from other body parts (like bladder infections, etc), or sexually transmitted diseases or too much masturbation in a short period of time or any number of things.
But, one thing is certain:
If you eat the right foods, that help and don't hurt your immune system, you can go a long way towards preventing infections (like prostatitis). If you eat foods that hurt your immune system, then you are opening yourself up for all kinds of problems.
What foods should you avoid, then?
The most important kind of food to avoid is anything with refined sugar in it.
Nobody really wants to hear this, of course.
But refined sugar is terrible for your body and your prostate. And one of the main reasons why is because it contributes to inflammation. Inflammation can make your body more open to disease, sickness and, yes, even infections (including prostate infections).
This does not mean you never can eat sugar.
But be smart about it.
In fact, if you really have a hard time with this, try the 90-10 rule: Where you eat right 90% of the time, and allow yourself to eat sugary foods 10% of the time.
Anyway, the point is this:
If you are wanting to avoid the many prostatitis causes (whatever they are), ditch the sugar.
