18/6/2021 - School guides in the rabbit field
In front of the primary school in Hasenfeld, school guides have recently been helping to cross the street safely.
The students walk safely across the zebra crossing that leads them to the primary school in Hasenfeld. Two school guides with reflective safety vest stand steadfastly on the road and let the children pass. "Up to now, we had no pilots. It worked well," says director Monika Bodlak. But traffic has increased significantly in recent months. Many children are taken to school by car. This often creates dangerous situations in front of the school. "That is why we decided in the spring to train school pilots and secure the zebra crossing," said Bodlak.
The street in front of the school is a fire hazard. "There are too many cars on the road in the morning and at noon," says teacher and supervisor of the student guide Susanne Schertler (49) from Schwarzach. Fortunately, there is now an initial effect. "Thanks to the student guides, the busy coming and going in front of the school has calmed down. It has become more regulated," says Schertler happily.
A total of 16 children in the fourth grade have been trained by the police to become school pilots. They take turns securing the road. They take on this important task in two teams. "If a child can't, the others step in. It works flawlessly," explains Schertler. In addition to the traffic rules, the school guides also learn to take responsibility and to organize themselves among each other if things turn out differently than planned. The children are very proud to be school guides. This month, student guides will be trained in the third grade so that the project can continue in autumn. Securing the zebra crossing in front of the elementary school will continue to be carried out by the student guides. "However, it would be best if as many children as possible came to school on foot. On the one hand, this prevents dangerous situations in front of the school. On the other hand, the children would start class with enough fresh air," says Schertler.

17/4/2017 - Marathon man running at night with reflective vest
Regional Champion,
winner of multiple races, wearing reflective clothing, third in the
Bowl Trophy, Sebastian Pele, who lives in La Croix-en-Touraine, near the
Loir-et-Cher, proved untouchable in the regional scope. He really turned a
corner as also indicated its eleventh-place finish at the France championship
marathon at the end of 85 km from the Jura very difficult course, "Extreme
sure Loupe."
The development,
at age 28, this follower of the toughest races is the fruit of a long work of
patience. "I started in the chick cycling school at UC Nacelles, reminds
the licensee of the US Joule-les-Tours. I also ran the VC Amboise. Only twenty
years ago that I started mountain biking. The good results were waiting.
Between training and recovery, I was looking for the right balance. I knew I
could do better; it was enough that I correct my faults. "
And to manage its
preparation, Sebastian Pele has never had a coach attached to his person. This
is a self-taught he was perfected in peasant the cyclist's perfect manuals.
Especially in terms of training, he has no choice: it must focus on quality
over quantity, because time is running out. Craftsman painter and decorator in Calvary-de-Touraine,
it needs above all to run his business.
His sporting life
starts only late in the afternoon, not before 18 hours. The time at which, in
the dark, headlamp battery reflective
vest on the
back, it hits the road accumulates kilometers.
The lengthy trials
enroll prominently in its 2015 program "In the Cross Country, shorter,
more nervous, I lack technique, perhaps a little reckless, analysis Sebastian Pele.
This, I think, having started late this practice. Marathons, often consisting
of a single loop without prior identification, suit me better. My goal is to
get a top 10 in the championship of France in 2015, instead allowing me to
participate in the world championship to be held in Italy next year." said
Sebastian in safety vest.

27/3/2017 - Reflective vests reduce the risk of traffic accidents
Entry to the
school for each child is a big life change. However, brings many positive
changes, such as new friendships, new knowledge and skills. Not only stay in
school but also to the way it can be difficult for a child. Therefore, we
should prevent all risks, including conflicts of a child by a moving vehicle.
Many of the
accidents occur in poor visibility, easy way to protect the child in this case
is the use of reflective elements such as reflective vests, belts and other
materials that can be attached to clothing, shoes and school bag. These
materials allow the driver to register the pedestrian at a distance up to 200
m, while the walker dressed in dark clothing is seen at a distance of 18 m and
in light clothing at a distance of 55 meters.
"Because all
of us to lives and health of our children depends receive from us all Prague
first graders reflective vest, which will guide and protect you during
journeys to school," said Deputy Mayor that the lives and health of our
children, are the most valuable and most important what we have. Therefore, it
is in all our interests to protect them at all times.
The main town in
Prague this year, we have prepared for all first-graders in Prague reflective safety
vests. Distribution to individual schools provides municipal police
officers.

9/8/2016 - Reflective safety vest from Norway,
Missionary Randi Andersen Kudu was intimidated by the chaotic
traffic in Uganda. She found room for both preaching and their reflex action.
People cannot traffic rules and many have taken the patch without
special training. In addition, we have thousands of motorcycle taxis, known as
boda-boda. They are keen to drive as fast as possible, they are running zigzag
and think most of themselves, says Andersen Kudu.
She is a missionary in the Ugandan capital Kampala. Although the
main mission is to preach the gospel, she has also found room for their own
reflex action.
There is a great need in the community, for both food and jobs, but
it also needed help with traffic safety. I came here to tell people about Jesus
and communicating the gospel, but with the needs are in the community is
necessary to help in practice, says Andersen Kudu.
She received donated reflective safety vest from Norway, mainly
jackets. These give her now on to children and adults in Kampala.
Here we can contribute and do something positive in the society
around us, says the missionary. Many people have become aware of reflex action,
including local TV station. But mainly it is with the help of traffic police
that they reach out with their message to heed traffic.
We have collected bode-bode-drivers, who run a taxi business, and
had driver training together with police. We have also focused on how reflexes
work, she says.
In addition, Andersen Kudu visits elementary schools to hand out reflector
and talk concerning driver.
There is something we can imagine to do more of in the future, says
the missionary.
Many road accidents
The missionary says that there are many who are injured in traffic
in Uganda.
It happens all the way. At hospitals in the city are full of
patients who have broken an arm or a foot. And in addition, there are many who
get head injuries in traffic accidents, for a helmet there are not many who use
here, she says.
The missionary says that fotgengerne are particularly vulnerable,
because it is not proper pavements. Need more reflexes- In a city of three
million inhabitants, and a country of 30 million, I think we never going to
have enough reflexes. Right now we have dealt what we have reflective vests, Andersen
says Kudu.
She has spared no reflectors to be awarded to students, who will
soon return to school after vacation. Therefore, it soon visits to schools on
schedule for the missionary.
We cannot sit holding on reflexes. They must go out as soon as
possible, she said.
If she receive reflections from Norway, she has no trouble getting
shared them out. Now she works also to follow up those who have already
received reflexes.
If we get dealt more systematically, there will be better
opportunities for following up the drivers to ensure that they use the
reflections, she says.

30/7/2015 - A new yellow reflective safety vest for children
Wednesday, in the preamble of the General Assembly of
the Union of school transport in the cantons of Guémené-Penfao and
Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon, Florence De Deyn, Assistant Academic Affairs and the
elected members of the union, were again"sensitized children and parents
on the obligation of wearing the yellow safety vest by children and
compliance with safety rules. "The move follows the accident at Miss Illac,
mid-November, the descent of a school bus.
To ensure the delivery of 1,950 students to their
schools, the union has 37 vehicles, mobilized from Monday to Friday, with an
average of 5,800 miles per day (5,000Wednesday). These circuits include 291
sequences. "For everything goes well, everyone has to play the game."
In terms of security, we do not compromise.
"Students using school transport must be seen. For this, they must wear
their yellow vest throughout the journey, home to the establishment and vice
versa, the rise and descent of the car.
For the record, the yellow hi vis jacket is visible at
300 meters and at night the reflective stripes are 150 meters
away. Like the seat belt, also mandatory in school buses, "fluorescent
yellow hi vis jacket can save a life."
Carriers, drivers are also aware of preventive
measures. However, be aware that in terms of school transport, the union is not
the employer of the drivers, but for safety, everyone is an actor. "We
work together, in the same way" confirms Florence De Deyn.
