GLP builds global intelligent logistics ecosystem for importers “This time at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), we hope to fully show GLP’s integrated solutions of logistics facility networks, supply-chain finance, capital operation, and data technology, thereby serving import companies and driving value creation,” said Zhao Mingqi, Co-President for GLP China Asset, in a recent exhibitor-buyer promotional conference for the CIIE’s seven major exhibition areas. To get more news about GLP Robotics, you can visit glprobotics.com official website.
At present, GLP has invested in China’s 38 strategic regions, developed and been managing 267 logistics parks, industrial parks, and technology parks, with a total property area of 33.4 million square meters.
Logistics is an indispensable part of import trade. GLP has closely cooperated with import trade companies at airports, ports, and other important logistics hubs since the beginning of its entry into China. “We pay great attention to import trade companies and their demands for facilities and equipment in food cold-chain and logistics automation, and hope to help these companies realize business growth through GLP’s logistics ecosystem,” Zhao said.
Participating in CIIE, GLP will center on the industrial ecosystem to showcase its logistics support for the consumption upgrade as well as its important role in promoting trade. Such an ecosystem is formed by logistics facility networks, supply-chain financial services, data technology platforms, etc.
It is worth noting that GLP is not only a storage space supplier, but also devoted itself to creating a global intelligent logistics ecosystem with comprehensive solutions for clients and partners and driving the innovation of logistics service through technical innovation. “We have already invested in some advanced companies in robotics, information technology, artificial intelligence, vehicle fleet management, intelligent parks, and financial services among others, and all of these investments will help our clients grow and improve their efficiency and competitiveness,” Zhao said.
For example, GLP has cooperated with McKinsey & Company and jointly developed a site selection tool based on clients’ purchasing patterns, delivery frequencies and other factors. It will allow clients to choose better locations for their delivery centers, which is estimated to cut around 20 percent of client transportation costs, and over 100 companies are already using this tool, including Wal-Mart, Nike, and many courier companies.
